New Project

Knew it wouldn't take long.
This will grow up to be a new afghan.

Does it look like snowflakes yet?

I have had the pattern for sometime but you
can find it at Red Heart here:

Hot Mama Apron Swap

I have joined the 'Hot Mama Apron Swap'. Sounded like a lot of fun, and the last swap I was in turned out so nice. The rules are simple.....
Don't spend any money or get anything new. Think I will use the scraps from the stockings to make mine.

Currently Without a Project

So I found this pretty wreath today while surfing the net. Not my colors scheme, however the idea is adorable. Since Christmas is over, all my projects in the works are wrapped up. I don't have anything to work on at the moment. I actually spent time this weekend doing nothing. Can't imagine that will last……

New Stocking

It's time for new stockings.
This lovely fabric is sheet music with the the lines to "We wish you a Merry Christmas"

So.... I cut them out at work today,

Toes in this lovely poinsetta print,

And tonight I will stitch them together.

Merry Christmas to US!

Ornament Swap

How cute are These?

I love Snowmen, in fact I have a collection of them just for Christmas.
Not snow, mind you, but snowmen!

This is what I received from my partner in the Bloggers Ornament Swap.
You can see her blog at

They are adorable and hanging on the tree right now. She also sent this nice snowman tea towel too!

Bloggie friends are so sweet.

Crocheted Bracelets

Size 1.1mm hook, some DMC pearlized cotton in cranberry, and some plastic rings.
I have made one of these already and this is the second for daughter #2.
Just something fun to wear over the Christmas Holidays.

I didn't even bother counting the stitiches. Just made sure they are nice and tight.
The second half of the circle gets covered on on the way back. Join
as you go. 30 minutes, start to finish.

Ornament Swap

So, I finihsed my ornaments for the 2009 Bloggers ornament exchange. I stitched these sweet "two turtle doves" by hand in the car on our Thanksgiving travels. They are felt, with an old-fashioned look, and stuffed with polyfil. I'm pleased as punch with the turnout.
All wrapped up and ready to go.

A closeup.

Can't you just hear them tweeting.

On my desk at work and ready to be packaged and mailed off.
On a side note, there has been lots of crafting, but not much blogging. I will try and catch up.
